At Neptune Navigate, we know that today’s students are used to consuming short-form content. That’s why each of our eight lessons is designed to take no more than 30 minutes to complete. In addition, the content is age-appropriate and divided into the following levels:

Pre-K/K:

A single lesson comprised of three videos, and covering “Welcome To The Digital World”, “Online Safety”, and “Taking Care of Your Devices”.

Lower Elementary (Grades 1-3):

Eight lessons featuring 2 or 3 videos in each. At the end of each lesson, there is a 5-question ‘classroom quiz’ that is not formally graded.

Upper Elementary (Grades 4-5):

Eight lessons featuring 2 or 3 videos in each. There are interactive knowledge checks at the end of each video, and at the end of the lesson, there is a graded quiz.

Junior High School (Grades 6-8):

Eight lessons featuring 1 video and 3 reading assignments in each. There are interactive knowledge checks at the end of each video, and at the end of the lesson, there is a graded quiz.

High School (Grades 9-12):

Eight lessons featuring 1 video and 3 reading assignments in each. There are interactive knowledge checks at the end of each video, and at the end of the lesson, there is a graded quiz.

Staff:

Eight lessons that provide an overview of what the students are learning in each of their lessons plus an optional ninth lesson covering Cybersecurity Awareness, which is designed to address state compliance requirements (See additional details below). Staff lessons also include 3 reading assignments and a graded quiz.

Spanish Langauge:

All lessons, except for staff, are also available in Spanish.

All lessons can be easily accessed from any internet-connected device via our proprietary LMS. Although the lessons are designed to be taught sequentially (we recommend assigning one lesson per month), you have the option to assign them in whatever order and frequency you prefer.

Easy Tracking and Reporting

Neptune Navigate features a variety of automated and custom reports that help you track participation and completion rates. In addition, you have “override” controls that allow you to assign lessons individually or as a classroom exercise.

Proof of Completion

In addition to automated reports that record all completions, each time a participant passes the quiz for a lesson, they will receive a badge for that lesson. Upon completion of all lessons, a custom certificate of completion is issued to each participant.

More Than Just Lessons

At Neptune Navigate, we know how important it is to engage with parents on the topic of Digital Citizenship, as well as the need to keep up-to-date with the ever-changing digital world. That’s why we provide a number of additional resources beyond the content of the lessons.

Continue the Conversation

We provide web links to eight videos specifically designed to inform parents about the information being covered in each lesson along with at-home discussion questions and ways they can help reinforce key messages.

NavAlerts

The only constant in the digital world is change. As major changes take place that can affect you and your students – such as dangerous social media challenges or new tech legislation – we notify the primary contacts on your account with a “NavAlert”, including a PDF version that can be shared with students, staff, and parents.

Social Media Graphics

Want to help spread the word on responsible Digital Citizenship? We provide ready-to-post graphics you can use on your social media channels to help reinforce how to be a good digital citizen.
